Applying for a Job

With Workday Recruiting, any employee currently receiving a GCCCD paycheck must apply using the Internal Application Process. Employees who inadvertently apply using the external careers site will have their application withdrawn from the pool and will be invited to apply through the internal process.

Applying as an internal is a three-step process.

  1. Employees must update their Workday profile. Specifically, the Education and Job History sections of the employee’s Workday profile are required
  2. Find Internal Job postings.
  3. Employee must submit their application with any required attachments through the internal careers page.

Procurement_Process

Goods Requisitions

Most requisitions will be regular requisitions when ordering items or things. The following applies to all Goods Requisitions:

  • Ordering items
  • Paying Fees (e.g. Membership, Entry Fees, Registrations, Licenses (not software), )
  • 3-way match needing PO, Receipt, and Invoice
  • Always goods lines

Service Requisitions

Service Requisitions have replaced the Request for Contract (RFC) form. The following applies to Service Requisitions: 

  • For contracted services (e.g. consultants, construction, professional services, maintenance contracts, software, equipment repair contracts, )
  • Uses the Request Service radio button option
  • Not to exceed amounts for repairs or services
  • Always service lines

Spend categories include but are not limited to: 5110, 5120, 5350, 5610, 5640, 5620

Blanket Purchase Order Requisitions

Blanket POs used to be known as Open POs and follow the same rules as Open POs in IFAS. The following applies to all blanket purchase order requisitions: 

  • Will not be received in the Warehouse
  • Will have Each as the Unit of Measure
  • Will have the total dollar amount as the Quantity
  • Cost will always be $1.00
  • For open purchase orders with not to exceed amounts
  • Only for supplies
  • Spans the Fiscal Year (July 1 – June 30)

Workday functions as GCCCD's time reporting software for many of our employees. Workday provides you the ability to report time on a WEEKLY basis. Each employee classification reports time differently in Workday. FACULTY

Full-Time Librarians & Counselors

Full Time Librarians and Counselors are only required to report when they are taking time off and are not required to reports hours worked. As a negative time reporter you ONLY need to report the time when you are not here through your sick leave or other time off plans. You can request time off in a full day quantity or half day quantity. Your Time Off Quantity is Days NOT Hours.

TIMEKEEPER REVIEWER RESOURCES

Timekeeper Reviewer is a role that is identified by a manager or supervisor who would like to provide access to an employee to review other employees time entry. If you do not have access to the "Team Time" application in Workday, you have not been identified as a timekeeper reviewer in the Workday system.

Managers: to request an employee be assigned a Timekeeper Reviewer role in Workday, please contact the Human Resources Department (x7572) for instructions on how to complete this.
